What is Tournament Level?
Tournament level is an indicator of the typical quality of tennis played at a particular tournament. This is a guiding assessment of the average ability of participants.
Tournament Level Codes
Code | Name | Description | Example |

INT | International | International |
United Kingdom
standard tennis players | Most tournament participants compete in international tours. For example: The ATP, WTA or ITF tours. | ||
NAT | National | Top tier National tournaments including players of a national level standard. | Top-tier major tournaments sanctioned by a Nation Association. For example : National Championships |
REG | Regional | Tournament participants play in leagues or tournaments that can represent a diverse collection of large and distinct areas. | For example: College / University Leagues Inter-county / state Leagues |
DIS | District | Tournament or Leagues within well defined large areas, with representatives all from that area. OR Players of district or county level standard. | For example: Tournaments to join County level teams |
LOC | Local | Inter club tournaments or leagues or local leagues. | For example: A tennis league for amateur players who could come from a number of different clubs. |
CLU | Club | Individual internal club tournaments or leagues just within a tennis club | For example: Club Tournaments |
REC | Recreational | Not sanctioned by a Nation Association, | For example: An ad-hoc league Casual competitive tennis |
